1) Eyeball movement : Roll your eyes by looking to the farthest left point, then moving it to the farthest top point followed by farthest right and down making a clockwise rotation. Do this 10 times follwed by 10 times anticlockwise.

2) Focus change : Take a small object, say a pencil, make a thick dot in the middle of it and keep it at 10 cm distance from your eyes. Focus on the dot for 1 minute then slowly take the pencil away to 35 cms focussing on the same dot, then bring it back to 10 cms. Repeat this 10 times.

3) While Working on Computer : While you are working on computer, don’t go for long without blinking. Make a habit of blinking while working on computer screens which moisturises your eyes and after continous work of 15 minutes, look at some object at 20 – 30 feet away from you. It relaxes the eyes and take short breaks after 40 minutes.

4) End of eye exercises: After you are done with the eye excercises (1 & 2), rub the palm of your hands vigorusly for 20 secs and then put them on your eyes. Repeat this 4-5 times.

3. Protection from Sun:

Whenever you get out in the sun, wear sunglasses. Sun’s ultravoilet rays can slowly damage your eyes. So no matter what your age is, try to protect your eyes from this kind of avoidable damage.

4. Healthy Diet :

Try to include some foods which are rich in vitamin A, C and E with minerals like zinc and copper. Examples of such food include spinach(and other green leafy veg), carrots, eggyolks, black grapes etc.

5. Posture:

Believe it or not, your sitting posture have a great effect on your eyesight. Whenever you are working on a computer screen or watching TV, you back should be straight. If you lean forward or backward while reading on a computer screen, it will adversely effect on you eyesight, especially in children whose eyeballs keep growing untill the age of 23.
